Please count service hours from parents only. Your personal involvement in the school and classroom are vital to the success of your child's education and the mission of the school.

How do I count service hours when I bring food to an event?

TIme spent preparing and bringing/serving food is typically counted as service. Beyond that, we trust you to decide the appropriate time spent serving.

Do dollars spent or donated translate to service hours?

No, monetary donations do not equal service hours.

Do lunchroom service hours count as double service hours?

No. There is no service opportunity where service hours are doubled. 

How do I log my service hours?

Log into veracross, go to the parent portal, click on ‘My Household’, then click on ‘Service Hour Record’.

Can I count  service hours for helping coach an AHS Sports Team?

Yes, if it is an official AHS team. Time spent practicing outside the sport’s competitive season does not count. 

If my child attends a different school that also requires service hours, do I still need to do service hours at AHS?

Yes!
